Biography
Somewhere in the chaos of Mumbai, India you can find the soothing story-telling sounds of Siddhesh Sardesai, known in the industry as Siddeffects. Sidd, born and raised in the mega-metropolitan city of Mumbai, has immersed himself in Electronic music for over seven years. Early on Sidd borrowed music CDs from friends, which consisted of a mix Bollywood music and Electronic music. Kick drums and bass sounds fascinated him steering him towards Electronic music and away from the popular Bollywood hits. The song Just Be, by DJ Tiesto, was a turning point for him and inspired him personally and professionally; he decided to become a DJ, and later a producer, to share his stories and passions through electronic music. In 2006, he began to learn the ins and outs of DJing and became the apprentice to his teacher, a close friend who DJed at house parties. He realized that DJing was only one way to express himself and decided to start the groundwork to produce his own tracks. Each of his tracks is unique with its own cinematic texture, telling its own story, but ultimately his music comes together to tell the inspirational stories Sidd wants to share with his city, Mumbai, and the world.
