Biography

"It's like an exorcism," someone once said of Seven Devil Fix's live show. The group's sophomore release, "Soundtrack to a Place Unseen", with its dark, brooding and yet beautiful sonic textures, underscore that statement. The rock quartet, comprised of frontman Mike Perschon, guitarist Dave Howard, bassist Dean Cottrell, and drummer Taylor Reese has been playing Alberta's independent music scene since 2003, the year the group recorded their first CD, "Lotus" with producer Craig Learmont of MuzikHaus records. The disc was released in December of 2003 and garnered a nomination for "Hard Rock Album of the Year" in the Canadian Vibe awards.

Since then, Seven Devil Fix has evolved into a very diverse and talented band. Their tightly packed live show is full of energy and will leave you wanting more.

In may of 2006 7DF recorded their second project, titled "Soundtrack To A Place Unseen", once again with Craig Learmont of Muzikhaus records, who the band was signed to in the fall of that year. The disc was recorded in an intense, three day marathon recording session, and was released in fall of 2006 at the Harvest Moon Festival. It was nominated for two Shai awards, "Hard Album of the Year" and "Rock/Alternative Album of the Year".

The band is currently performing around Alberta in support of the new release.
