Seedling was a Dutch indieband that existed from 1996 till 2004. Bandmembers were:
Marg van Eenbergen: Vocals, guitar
Susanne Linssen: Vocals, violin
Bas Jacobs: Bass guitar
Mariken Smit: Drums
Seedling released an EP, three split 7" singles and two full-length albums: Elevator Tourist (2001) and Let's Play Boys & Girls (2003).
Seedling (three girls and a boy, playing "catchy guitar pop you can dance to") were press darlings in The Netherlands, but also toured the U.K. eight times. They had one particularly famous English fan: John Peel. Seedling first played on Peel's radio show on May 16th 2001. Two proper 'Peel Sessions' followed: the first in January 2002, the second in July 2003 their second studio-session was broadcast. Peel regularly played Seedling songs on his Radio 1 and World Service shows.
Seedling split up in 2004. Frontwoman Marg van Eenbergen re-surfaced in 2008 as a 'one woman band' named Gram (anaGRAM of her first name), while Bass player Bas Jacobs continued as Pfaff, played with The Ik Jan Cremers and more recently with We Be Naked. And Susanne Linssen is part of the more know Amsterdam based band Hospital Bombers and works with singer songwriter Awkward I.
