Biography
Sebastian Emmanuel Zalo (born 5. januar 1997) is an singer and songwriter from Horten in Norway. His mother is from Norway, and his fahter from the Ivory Coast. Zalo spended much of his childhood abroad, like England and Egypt.
In december 2017 he debuted with the song «You see». Since then, he has regulary released songs and mixtapes. In 2019, he signed contract to Xenon Sounds. In 2020, Xeenon Sound, Sebastian Zalo and Universal Music entered into a collaboration. The first song from his collaboration, "My dear fear" (Kjære frykten min) was relased on April 17, 2020. In autumn of 2020, he released his debut album RTRO // SPKT. The same autumn, he performed at norwegian television, Lindmo and God Morgen Norge and also nominated as 2020 newcomer in P3 Gull. In spring of 2021, he released his first single of the year, "Dra Tilbag". In February 2021, he was nominated for the Spellemann Prize 2020 for this year´s breakthrough. He was one of the particpating young artist in NRK´s musical entertainment program "De neste" in spring 2021.
Zalo made with his companions August Stubø and Benjamin Fahre the song "Magi"- the theme song for NRK´s Christmas calender, Kristiania magiske tivoliteater, which was first broadcasted in Christmas 2021.
