Salley is named after Down by the Salley Gardens, an Irish Folk song. The female-male duo made their debut in 2013. The duo takes inspiration from Irish music. ULALA (Vocalist) and Kohei Kamiguchi (Composer)
On March 21, 2020, founding members Kohei Kamiguchi and Ulala (Urara) announced on the group's official website and blog that they've decided to disband with a final one-man live performance (Later canceled and changed to a live broadcast). A few years before the announcements, the two gradually began feeling differences between where they wanted to be and what they wanted to do. On the 25th of March, Salley hosted their final, live performance virtually.
