SIØBHAN’s mission is to write honest, relatable music for a generation that needs it more than ever. Marrying existential indie-pop and 50’s balladry is something that makes perfect sense after one listen to her debut EP. Its culmination has been long-awaited by solo artist Siobhan Williams, who has spent the last decade establishing an international film and television career as an actress. Siobhan has starred opposite icons like Steve Carell, James Franco, Jason Alexander, Kiefer Sutherland, and many more. Known first and foremost for her diverse character acting and chameleon-like capabilities, Siobhan’s deep-rooted obsession with the human psyche translates to a raw emotional life in her melodies and lyrics. Siobhan partnered with music legend Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat) who produced her debut EP. With hints of Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Florence + the Machine, and Alvvays, Siobhan’s EP has been described as “pop with a conscience” – something Williams feels is vastly missing from the modern music scene. Introspective, existential lyrics disguised underneath catchy hooks and melodic swells offer whatever depth of experience a listener might be looking for; from an upbeat bop in the car to a raw commiseration about the meaning of life.
