Biography
The Latin-Rock explosion began, when Santana first burst onto the music scene in the late sixties and early Seventies. While Santana was becoming popular in the West Coast, a young group of Hispanic musicians from the Bronx in New York City wanted to build upon the Caribbean roots of Afro Cuban Jazz, Rhythm and Blues and New York City Salsa.
The group was called Seguida. Seguida's music is a unique mix of funk, hip hop, rock, r&b, salsa and jazz. Joining veteran Seguida vocalists Lori Rose will be International Latin Recording Superstar Kevin Ceballo .K.C. will be lending his unique vocal sound to the
new Seguida music. Our next special guest is an old family friend. Latin Jazz pianist Larry Harlow is a true living legend of Afro-Cuban music. "El Judio Maravilloso",
as he is affectionately called by his colleagues, completely revolutionized what is known today as
"SALSA". Larry also produced the now classic Seguida CDs from the 70’s. The brass section is led by Seguida founding father, sizzling trumpeter Pete Nater. Pete has a reputation for virtuosity and excellence in the Latin music field. Building on the strong foundation laid down by the original members of Seguida…present day Bandleader, Drummer, Producer, Composer Steve Adorno, and original founding fathers Guitatist Lou Perez & Vocalists Lori Rose are bringing Seguida into the future. There will be more Seguida surprises in store so stay tuned to this site! We are sure that you will enjoy Seguida’s 30 year tradition of music from the heart and soul. Latin Jazz radio stations around the world still recognize Seguida's music, and numerous compilation albums have featured Seguida's music throughout the years.
