Biography

Rudenez was formed in November 2005 in Budapest, Hungary. The core of the band’s line-up was guitarist László Fási and bass player Csaba Hutter, who were later joined by keyboardist István Rezső and drummer László Kiss.
They created a special instrumental progressive rock sound by mixing various musical motives and genres. The music is characterized by variable, sophisticated as well as slightly innovative rhythms and melodies.

In the winter of 2006 the primary task was to write and rehearse enough songs to comply a live set. As a result of intense rehearsals the band has managed to have a set-list consisting of their own songs.
In April 2006, the band took part in contest organized by MKKA in Sting Underground Music Pub. The got into the final and the performance was recorded by Duna TV, a local satellite channel, which has been broadcasted several times since then.
Following the contest the management of Sting Underground Music Pub offered a permanent opportunity to play live on a monthly basis.
During the rest of the year, besides the club shows, the band performed at many different places in Budapest and other parts of the country, while the new songs were being forged on the rehearsals.
In the end of the year the band decided to make an album of the songs they had written. This was carried out in the winter of 2007. The Recording sessions took place in City Sound Studio in Budapest. The title of the album is 'Változásban', and it contains 13 songs written by the band.
This year is mostly spent by doing concerts in clubs and festivals – 'Aba Napok', Sziget Festival, etc.).
Several radio and TV interviews have been made with the band. In June 2007 Duna TV recorded a performance more than one hour long at Chaplin Pub, which is going to be broadcasted as an individual program soon.
The band’s most important objective is to play live and reaching as many places and people as possible. The last one year has justified the fact that even less popular musical genres have a substantial audience, so the band would like to give high-standard performances with good atmosphere in more and more music pubs, and prove that (progressive) rock music has its future among the other musical genres.
