Biography
Rubycone is a non-existent word, but at the same time it’s word-play: literally from English it translates as «a ruby cone». Also Rubicon is the name of the river in Italy which had been crossed by July Caesar and his army. The expression «to cross Rubicon» became common, which means to make a firm decision.
Rubycone was formed in 2005. Having played with different bands, Stas «Norfeus» acquired the desire for the creation of a new project with melodious sound and some fresh rhythmic. At first, the members of the band were constantly changing. It took almost three years of alternating between male and female vocals, number of guitarists and different tunings before the band got its new shape and songs.
For today Rubycone are: Roma «Romones» (guitar), Kolya «Gerty» (drummer), Stas «VStas» (bass guitar), Stanislav «Norfeus» (guitar).
At the end of 2008, Rubycone begun to work on its first album «Pictures For Susceptible Housewives» had been released in 2009 under the Russian label «Mals». The album linked the songs together under the idea of a sequence of pictures, designed to melt any susceptible my-life-became-better-after-I-bought-a-new-fridge housewife in each of us.
In 2010 the new single “Time To Gather Stones” was released, which contained the words of Solomon.
Now, while the guys are struggling with the housewives and gather stones in their own minds, the wheel of time makes its turn and soon we'll find out what's next on the TV of life: would the Rubycone become the most famous band ever?
