Belfast-based violinist & composer.
A classically trained violinist, Ruby's solo material also comprises the use of a variety of peddles, such as a loop-station, delay, and octave, in order to create complex overlapping layers of ambient sound-scapes.

Her first EP My Elegant Insect was released in early May 2008, and she has played support to the likes of Final Fantasy (Owen Pallett), A Hawk and a Hacksaw (LEAF label), and the late John Martyn; her debut album Murmurations was released in February 2010.
For her live performances, Ruby plays the violin into a sampler controlled by foot pedals, which then loops back the previously played musical phrases as she plays additional arrangements over the top of them.
