The third track on Roxy Music's album Manifesto, "Angel Eyes" exists in two fairly different versions. The original 1979 album release ran for 3:32 and featured prominent "rock" guitar part. The song was re-recorded in a more of a pop/disco vein for release as the third single from the album. This version ran for 3:06 and charted well, reaching #4 in the UK. (There was also an extended mix released on a 12" single at the time, running to 6:37.) Later releases of the Manifesto album often substituted the single mix for the original version.
Angel Eyes is also notable as the first song that the band made a specific music video for.
