Biography
Revenira is an industrial metalcore act from Normal, IL. Originally founded in 2016 as "Revenir," a synth-pop side project to Ryan Kopka's trance music escapades (Rydavik / Neon Discharge / Iona Coast), the game suddenly changed in 2019 when the project shifted to a hybrid of a metal and synth-pop sound with the release of the band's first EP, "Anexikakos". Incorporating elements from electronic music, dance, industrial rock, nu metal, dark ambient, and hybrid film scores, it would mark a shift in production-driven songwriting for the band. Now, with the release of the band's first album "Hong Kong 2124", the band calls their material "cyber metal."
As a one-man songwriting, production, and multimedia machine within his home studio, Ryan (lead vocals, bass) is flanked in live performances by brothers Jimmy Parello (guitars) and Anthony Parello (drums), and a highly advanced AI known as The Caretaker (programming) from the year 2124, confined to the microscopic data walls of an ASUS-brand Windows laptop from the year 2016.
