An novel German trio (Cologne), literature meets live electronics:
Susanne Rump, Alexander Hardt und Roman Weingardt make reading in word and sound. Retopia moves with keen sense of details between fiction and reality, noise and acoustics, programming and improvisation. With influences from Jazz, Ambient and Electronics, they’re developing unique Soundscapes - improvised and programmed - with speech, music and noise. They create new sounds with home-brewed software and link acoustic elements with field recordings and live electronics. Retopia lets music speak and sound to literature and moves thereby fictitious, utopian and spacy within nearby.
