Biography
Residence, a.k.a James Darracott was born in Doncaster, UK in 1987. He had been into electronic music, in particular dance from an early age. At 12 years old, he opened the door to the world of music production. From day one, everything regarding music production has been self-taught. He did, however, take electronic organ and keyboard lessons for a period of time, and was taught by Helen McNulty, Doncaster, UK. Since then, he has been down a variety of different paths. In the beginning there were two members, under the name 'Renegaid Masterz'. The duo renamed themselves 'Sound Project' and continued to produce music together. Some time after the two broke apart, which left James Darracott to continue under the same name solo. In 2005 he decided to make a change, and produce music under a new name - 'Residence'. And here we are today. His most recent work has been collaborating with the singer/songwriter Natalie Scibetta, California, US. Currently, he is unsigned and can be found on a number of self-promotion websites, in particular Myspace and Facebook.
