Biography
Red is a "hobo soul" performer from Los Angeles who was discovered when he performed the song "I Should Tell Your Momma On You" outside of the HVW8 art gallery. The song became a YouTube sensation and in cooperation with the Stones Throw label, the acapella track was recorded and released as a single in 2009, also featuring remixes by DâM-FunK and Chops.
New York rapper Cam'ron purchased the rights to the song in 2010, and recorded a new version of the track with Snoop Dogg. However, as of the release of the track, Red had disappeared from his known locales. Cam'ron has stated that it is his hope that by putting out the song someone will track Red down so that he can make sure he gets his money and can get in a video for the song in order to give his talent the exposure it deserves.
