Fully Erect is the debut full length studio album by Massachusetts comedy rock boyband Rectus Abdominus. The record was recorded and released on May 2, 2017. Rectus Abdominus began March 5, 2017 in Ludlow, Massachusetts, where the four founding members Jackson The Epic, Cameron Masse, Jeff The Epic, and Owenonio were hanging out. While walking to a corner store near Jeff's house where they were hanging out, Jackson remarked "we look like a band". This is commonly considered to be the moment the band started. The name Rectus Abdominus comes from a gym class inside joke between Owen and Jackson, where the term was seen on a worksheet and the two thought it was funny because it sounded like "rectum" and "erect". The album was an unexpected success on SoundCloud, gaining hundreds of plays within the first few weeks. The band never expected anything of the album when it was released, but the general public thought otherwise. The album was only available on SoundCloud and Bandcamp until late 2018, when it was finally made available on major streaming services. Fully Erect is still to this day Rectus Abdominus' most commercially successful album by far.
