Predicting The Fall's creation was no coincidence.

In London’s South-East during the 1970’s a secret government lab were trying out new genetic experiments on young teenagers. 5 young women were targeted for a brand new trial. Mild DNA alterations were being made through cups of tea. These women were unaware the tests were being carried out. Their tea bags were being swapped by government ninjas in the dead of night!

These women went on to lead normal, oblivious lives. Some met their life partners and some just got knocked up. But all of them gave birth to sons in the 80’s.

On April 7th 1989 all 5 of these women woke in the morning with the same idea. To move near to Canterbury. None of them could explain why, but they just felt they needed to be closer to the city. This was no coincidence and the scientist’s plans were coming into fruition.

After the move, the government’s attention was no longer on the young mothers. It was on the boys. These 5 kids were watched over by satellite for the entirety of their childhood. Officials were making sure everything was going their way.

On the boys 12th birthday it was ‘arranged’ that they receive instruments appropriate to their DNA coding. The boys went on to become masters of their chosen instruments except Lee who couldn’t quite get the hang of the guitar so took up the easier bass guitar. Ross also only became a mediocre bassist so decided to do some singing instead. Luckily Simon was born tone-deaf, making it hard to sing and took up guitar.

The scientists were concerned about the new developments for a while but everything seemed to sort itself out. Now the boys were in their 20’s it was time for the final stage of the plan. Getting the boys to meet and form a band.

This proved easier than expected. The scientists placed an advert on the social networking website ‘Facebook’ saying:

Musicians wanted!

Only fans of New Found Glory, A Day To Remember and Four Year Strong need apply. Free biscuits at audition.

The rest was history. The scientists are still watching their creations to this day. They were slightly concerned that other bands would be jealous of their awesomeness so decided to release this statement, "It’s ok that they’re better than you. They’re genetically altered to be better than you!"
