Biography
Phillip Steinmetz & His Sunny Tennesseans are dedicated to carrying on the tradition of Old Time Mountain Music. They entertain audiences with forgotten favorites from musical pioneers such as Grandpa Jones, Sam & Kirk McGee, The Carter Family, Uncle Dave Macon, Stringbean, and The Coon Creek Girls. Phillip was taught clawhammer banjo at the age of eleven by his Great Uncle, Louis Marshall Jones, aka Hee Haw and the Grand Ole Opry's Grandpa Jones.The group is a regular on RFD-TV's Cumberland Highlander Show as well as the Radio Show Nashville Traditions.
