Biography

Growing up in a conservative 800-soul village, Philip struggled to find connection to their same-aged peers. Spending most of their childhood alone on a computer, they stumbled across music recording software at age 13 and began making songs.

In 2017 Philip and friend Edwin Rosen went on a road trip along the west-coast of France. The longing back to it, as the remaining summer rushes by in a haze, bringing months of winter-depression closer, inspired debut-single "honey let's just drive". After a turbulent 2018, Philip writes "spend some time alone inside my head", a driving dream-pop song about the frustration of having to explain your mental state, when you don't understand it yourself. This would become their most popular song, shared by genre-mutual girl in red and streamed over one million times.

Philip moved to London in summer 2019. First sleeping on friends' floors, eating rice and beans but determined to make entrance to the alive music scene. Early 2020 they released "i'm so in love with all of my friends", featuring a choir of artist-friends such as ella jane, Abbie Ozard and Odina. A music video of sent-in clips by 93 fans premiered on Gay Times. Later that year Philip came out as non-binary and, drawn to queer culture, decided to relocate to english LGBTQ+ hotspot and seaside-town Brighton.

In 2022 Philip released the collobaritive EP mountain songs with fellow musician runo plum.

Besides releasing music, Philip works as a producer for artists including Edwin Rosen and Ginger Taylor.
