Biography
PHS (Purple Hearted Soldiers) is an unsigned/independent collaborative Hip-Hop super-group. Scru Face Jean (Darrel Ofodirinwa) B.DuBZ (Buay Wuol) and Brown (Ramon De Leon) are PHS. Our Purple Hearted Soldiers reside in Lincoln, Nebraska and are all in their Senior year at North Star High School. PHS was formed accidentally after rumors of a collaborative "Brown Meets Purple" mixtape between Scru Face Jean and Brown with B.DuBZ featuring. The name of the mixtape would quickly be changed to "Purple Pills give me Nightmares: The Refill".
What sets P.H.S aside from other rappers is intelligence, versatility and subject matter. As most of us know, the golden-era of Hip-Hop is dead and buried, but what some aren't realizing is that a new one is beginning. For lack of a better term, let's refer to it as a Renaissance for Hip-Hop. P.H.S is doing their part in this new movement in Lincoln, Nebraska. All three artists are so different, yet there's a certain type of Harmony that's created when Scru Face Jean, Brown and B.DuBZ get on the mic.
