Biography
Orbits may refer to multiple artists:
1) An obscure 50s rhythm & blues/rock 'n' roll group known for their song "Knock Her Down".
2). The Orbits were a 1980s power-pop band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
3). Orbits (formerly JW Sparrow & the Miner Birds) is the solo project for Warwick JW Smith (b. 1981) from Canberra, Australia.
Orbits mostly dabbles in wild improvised guitar and drone, however can build his tunes into painfully long pop songs.
He has played at times in or collaborated with bands such as The Cherry Marines, Horse Macgyver, Shoeb Ahmad, Mankilled, The Gashes, You Hang Up; No You Hang Up, Jonny Telafone and Cat Cat.
He releases his solo material through Birds Love Fighting Records.
