Alexander Francis Kelly (Born June 12, 1992), better known by his stage name Oliver Francis, is an American rapper, producer, and songwriter from Columbia, Missouri. He gained fame in the Soundcloud rap and underground hip-hop scene after reaching millions of plays on platforms such as Youtube and Soundcloud.
Alexander Francis Kelley was born on June 12, 1992 in Ashland, Missouri. His parents were both musicians, with his father playing guitar and performing worship music at his church. Growing up, Kelley was a fan of alternative culture, skateboarding, and punk rock. He played for multiple local punk bands, and has cited his favorite artist as rock band Green Day
In 2013, Kelly began making remixes of popular hip-hop songs and posting them to Youtube and Soundcloud under the name Oliver. He eventually began rapping on beats he had made, posting songs and videos to these platforms. At this time, his sound was inspired by cloud rap, a genre gaining traction at the time with artists such as Yung Lean. His songs gained popularity over the following years, with music videos for songs such as "Polo Socks" and "Aahhyeahh" accumulating millions of views on YouTube. He also gained attention through his appearance on the pop-culture oriented podcast No Jumper.
As of February 2022, Oliver has over 750,000 monthly listeners on streaming platform Spotify. He is presently signed to Hopeless Records, primarily releasing music that is blend of hip hop and pop, and occasionally performs and releases versions of his songs with the accompaniment of a band
