Biography
October Gold is acoustic indie-folk duo Kit Soden and Aliza Thibodeau. Based out of Montreal, Canada, their music has captivated audiences on both sides of the Atlantic ocean; this autumn they embarked upon their second European tour.
They recently released their debut album "Into the Silence", which was recorded in the mountains of Vermont, near the ocean in Maine, and deep into the city of Montreal. Although October Gold tours as a duo, this album was conceived as a full band project - guitar, bass, violin, drums - which then expanded to 20+ instruments, including brass quintet, harp, and church organ. In the summer of 2010 Kit released ‘Like a Dancer Unstrung,’ a collaboration with author/lyricist Steven Erikson, and a second Erikson album is currently in the works.
