Biography
Topu Lyo and Randy Bergida began performing together in 1999 when their friends and siblings started getting married. With each event came many personal requests for music and they discovered their knack for arranging any type of song and founded the cornerstone of New York Ceremony Music with their custom arrangements on cello and guitar. They have been collaborating in their musical endeavors for 20 years and now they have a diverse and ever-growing repertoire.
Topu and Randy met at the University of Arizona School of Music and have studied with some of the country's most prestigious teachers, including Thomas Patterson, Aleksi Vienna, Nancy Greene, and Gordon Epperson. They attended master classes with such greats as the Guarneri String Quartet, the Tokyo String Quartet, John Stowell, and Yo Yo Ma. The duo has performed together throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
