Here I am saying it 10 years after @dudefude...Joseph Campbell "power of the myth" is sampled here a few times... Of course the band were tuned in to (and likely heavily influenced by) his teachings... IMHO every Neurosis fan should watch/listen to this documentary and question their own existence...! His lectures are also on Spotify. Godspeed.

"In the beginning, there was only the great self, reflected in the form of a person..." Fucking Neurosis vocal samples are just absolutely amazing. I mean, they're CRUCIAL to the atmosphere that they create, and the visual effects in their live shows are the same as well. Truly cover their bases in all forms of media.

The other day I was listening to 'The Power of Myth', an audio documentary featuring Joseph Campbell and I heard him say "in the beginning there was only darkness everywhere, darkness and water". A light bulb blew up in my head when I realised it was sampled by Neurosis. This is a very warped and scary little track.
