Nav Katze ("Nervous Cat") was a band from Tokyo, Japan comprising of Miwako Yamaguchi (山口美和子) (vocals and bass) and Naoko Iimura (飯村直子) (vocals and guitar). Having pledged to form a band together when they were high school classmates, the duo started their activities at university in 1983, before recruiting Shino Furutachi (古舘詩乃) (drums) a year later. Produced by Tohru Okada (岡田徹) of Moonriders, their debut single Nav Katze (1986) and album OyZaC (1987) were released to excellent reception, and the band subsequently signed to major label Victor Entertainment.
