Nathaniel Matthew is a Chicago based Singer/songwriter, known for his soulful voice, and lyrical depth… His first full length album, "Songs Written on Recycled Cotton Pulp" is a masterpiece in simplicity. Composed of thirteen original one take tracks, with sounds ranging from soul, to blues, to folk rock, and even a bit of country… The Simplistic nature of these recordings, (most of which are guitar and vocal only) gives the listener a feeling of honesty and intimacy rarely achieved by today's main stream music. "If I can make the person listening to my recordings feel as though they are in a small, dimly lit, smoke ringed cafe, drinking their caffeinated beverage of choice, not twenty feet from some quirky guy, playing and singing his restless soul into submission, then i have made a decent record," Says Nathaniel.
