“Best of Hard Drive” is the debut album by Swedish music collective NEIKED, released in March 2019. Rather than a traditional debut, the album is a collection of past hits, demos, and unreleased tracks—essentially a curated playlist from their own archive or “hard drive,” which inspired the album’s name. The album came from a real hard drive full of demos NEIKED had written for other artists, but which were turned down for being “too weird” or “too different.” Instead of discarding them, they decided to launch their own collective and release the tracks themselves.
