Muzik Jones Drew

Andrew Laury Penn II (born May 8, 1986), better known as his stage name Muzik Jones Drew, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and engineer. He is well known for his catchy, feel-good music and also his extensive behind the scenes work.

Muzik Jones Drew was born at the Homestead Air Reserve Base in Homestead, Florida and grew up in Delray Beach, Florida. He had spent a majority of his youth in the church playing drums and singing in the choir. While attending Atlantic Community High School, Drew decided to share his musical skills with a couple of of locally, popular rap groups he had joined with younger brother, Dexter Penn. It was here where his unique music composition and voice would first get recognition. In 2004 he continued to improve on his musical talents at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida where he studied Recording Arts. After completion of a short, yet intense, twelve month program, Penn decided to take on the challenges of a successful independent performing artist. His approach to stardom would first be by means of songwriting.

By 2005, Penn had already worked much alongside his sibling Dexter and other very close music partner, 1Hot. Within his talented surroundings he had grown into a very catchy, feel-good musical artist with creative vocals to accompany it. Inspired by the late Nate Dogg, Timbaland, Pharrell and T.I., Penn improved on a style of music that merges both singing and rapping which he often refers to as Funk Rap.

Currently, Muzik Jones Drew closely works and travels amidst the U.S. with 1Hot, whom he manages and Jedstarz Productions performing, recording and engaging himself with other creative and technical aspects of the entertainment industry. He has done much songwriting and recording for artists of many genres. Drew has opened for acts such as T.I., Young Jeezy, Iceberg, Desloc of Piccalo, Young Cash and others. While continuing onto highly anticipated musical projects, Muzik Jones Drew has goals of opening a school catered to young audio engineers, producers and songwriters and to soon become the go-to guy for timeless music.
