Biography
Monte Resina is an instrumental rock band from Jurerê Internacional. The band was formed in 2010, when guitarist and main songwriter Paulo Douglas teamed up with bassist Cainã Vargas to develop and bring his compositions to life. Their sound blends elements from various rock and metal subgenres, including stoner, alternative, sludge, and more.
Monte Resina’s debut EP was released in 2014 and was entirely recorded and produced by Paulo in his home. 'Nem Era', the band's latest and third release, explores a more diverse sonic landscape. It features layered arrangements and a strong sense of melody, while maintaining Monte Resina's distinct identity. The album moves between passages of raw intensity and moments that are atmospheric, hook-driven, and melodic.
