Hailing from Nara Prefecture, Japan, monocism formed in March 2005, after a short period of collaborations. They are a duo consisting of producer and composer Tomoya Matsuura (松浦友也, vocals and guitar) and guitar teacher Yoshiaki Kitamura (北村嘉章; guitar), with support members Satoshi Kamiegawa (上江川 聡 AKA A.C.R.kammy; drums) and Goro Ouchi (大内悟郎 AKA goro-ohuchi; bass.)
