Tomoya Matsuura is a Japanese composer, sound engineer, and producer from Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. In March 2005, Matsuura paired up with Yoshiaki Kitamura (北村嘉章) in order to form monocism, a shoegaze/post-rock project with tinges of math rock and noise. monocism continued its activities around 2013, having released two EPs, several contributions to compilations, and one half of a split album. On May 11th, 2011, Matsuura, under the alias of Sourin (宗凛), released Sourin 1, a three-track EP.
