This song is about the heartache of missing someone you love and no longer have. It is named after a drinking game.
During a round of Edward 40hands, a person tapes a 40 oz drink to each hand, effectively rendering them useless for any action besides moving the drink up to the person’s lips to drink. The person can remove the cans or bottles once the drinks are finished.
