they are two different approaches to the same concept of using the main instrument for a purpose it isn't normally used for. Dogsbody was a percussive statement, Pirouette is all bass. Dogsbody used its instrumentation as a drum set while Pirouette used the bass as a constant driving rhythm. IPirouette isn't as grimy or noisy as Dogsbody, but i think the dance-punk and industrial within is phenomenal. i hope you grow to like it more.

i agree as well regarding the monotony. but i think that is actually one of its strengths if you enjoy the album and start analyzing the songwriting. it's monotonous but not predictable or even "the same" throughout. there are significant differences on each song even though that rhythm is constant.

Definitely a softer approach but I like the tone and creativity in most of the songs quite a bit anyway

Fantastic new album, it's straight into my 2025 favorites. I didn't expect anything like this

Goddamn the two singles go so hard. They're gonna pull out another AOTY tier record at this rate.

Can confirm excellent live. My experience was Cole Haden parting the crowd and strutting down the centre of his manmade catwalk, then he put his head on my shoulder whilst crooning Winnipesaukee like the second yassified coming of Miss Havisham

can't remember the last time i begged friends to go see a band live like i've done with model actriz. thee must-see band of the post-punk/edgy dance/rock-aligned genre. they are really decimating these 300-cap rooms, can't wait to see them regularly obliterate 1500-cap rooms

Absolutely insane live. Cole stands centimetres from your face when he sings. Dogsbody is also top 3 of the year it's an incredible take on post-punk, dance-punk and noise rock.
