Biography
Misscatylove is a non binary Manchester-based artist that has been considered as on the most influential and innovative Moldovan artists of the past century. Their debut single "Friends", recorded in 2014 and released in 2021, was considered as the most groundbreaking piece of music of the year.
On January 24th 2022, Misscatylove was revealed as one of the 30 acts competing on the Moldovan national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with their song "Intro". It quickly became a fan favourite, making their fanbase grow even further. Unfortunately, one day later, Misscatylove revealed that they had to withdraw from the selection citing "personal reasons" and "unavailability to travel to Moldova in time for the auditions".
On the same day, it was revealed they were already writing the song for the 2023 selection. "Outro" is also included in the tracklist of their upcoming album "Gothica".
Misscatylove describes their genre as "dark deconstructed post-avantgarde hyper metalpop" and cites no influences.
