Jezz Knight
I was born in Croydon, Surrey on 12th May 1974 and lived there until I was 4. I then spent two years in Brandon, Suffolk before moving to Bicester, Oxfordshire

When I was twenty I left the shelter of my friends and family to start a new adventure travelling around Australia and Thailand. Travelling makes you look at life in a different way, you meet people of all nationalities and cultures. I travelled for 10 months and met some really special people and saw the most wonderful things. It opened my eyes to the world and it was during this time I started to write my first lyrics, poems really.

When I returned from Australia I found it very hard to readjust to normal life, I was so used to staying in one place until I got bored and then moving on. It was then that I decided to full fill another dream of mine, to learn the guitar. By now I had so many pages of lyrics I had to learn the guitar in order to add music to them!!

After a couple of years of self taught guitar I met a work colleague who also played. We soon found ourselves meeting up for jams and when we had a few songs we had written we went into a recording studio. It cost us a lot of money but we were ecstatic with the results, listening to them now I realise how poor they were and how naive we were, but back then we were over the moon. We soon found ourselves gigging as an acoustic duo; this was great fun and taught me valuable lessons about playing live.

By the time I was 28 I had become very disillusioned with life and my work. My now wife felt the same and so we decided to start a new life in a new environment, so we sold up and moved south to Torquay, Devon. It was in Torquay that I decided to do a sound engineering course. This helped to make my recordings at my home studio sound more professional. It was on this course that I met Jez Wright and a few months later he mentioned he had a friend, Marco, who had a song he would like to record. I invited them to my house and told them that I would record their ideas in my studio. This opened up a friendship and respect for each other and the more I saw Marco's music ability the more I wanted us to work together. After a few months Jez, Marco and myself decided to form a band and work under one name, and so Midknight was formed.

I have a dream to release a song and then as a songwriter I can sit back and be content. But until then there's a lot of work to be done, more songs to write, always hoping for that one special song. It's dreams that keep my desire and ambition burning bright and after all, what's life without dreams…

Marco Puddu

I was born on the 13th September 1974 in a city called Sassari in Sardinia, Italy. Ever since I was young I've always been in touch with the music world. At the age of six my father bought me a keyboard and I learned the basics of music from him. At the age of nine I joined some music courses, where I learned to play the clarinet and the saxophone, but I was not happy playing these. I decided to follow my dad within the art of trumpet and for the following nine years I played and studied the trumpet. I had the chance to improve my knowledge of all various types of music, ranging from classic to American - Latin and Salsa. As I knew people in the music ambient, I had the opportunity to play percussion in one of the main Sardinian orchestras, experiencing high standards of music production, including music critics and susses in the local areas.

At the age of sixteen I bought a second hand guitar for the simple reason that the batteries were too expensive for my keyboard and it was a pain to look after it. I learned the basics of the guitar from some of my friends and have carried on playing it since.
Now living in England, I have had the opportunity to meet a new friend called Jezz Knight who also plays guitar. Together we decided to form a duo and call ourselves "MidKnight". By doing this I finally got the opportunity to work on my own material and to collaborate on Jezz's too. Most of my music has been inspired by my favourite artists such as, Pink Floyd, The Litfiba (Italian Rock Band) and Johann Sebastian Bach and all sorts of Classic and Baroque music.

Music is feeling no matter what genre, every thing in life is music; we just live in a world that is a never ending song….
