Mevrouw Tamara’s music is dreamy, idiosyncratic indie pop with Dutch lyrics. She had several appearances on national radio and tv stations and she played at venues like Paradiso, the Van Gogh Museum and several other stages and festivals in Holland. As per 2022 she records and releases her music under her full name: Tamara van Esch.
The debut album of Mevrouw Tamara was released March 2015 and is entitled Zo lang mogelijk (As long as possible). The recordings for this album took place at Tamara’s home studio and several guest musicians played along on this album: Anne Soldaat (guitarist of Daryll-Ann) and an orchestra. For a year buyers of the album get access to exclusive downloads, videos and apps that engage listeners to experience the music in different ways. One app allows you to make your own mix of a song (Mixer), another app lets you listen to the English version of a song (Englishify). Eventually there are several ways of experiencing the music through the apps on Mevrouw Tamara’s website: www.mevrouw-tamara.nl This multimedial and interactive feature of Zo lang mogelijk can also be experienced at Mevrouw Tamara’s live shows: audience members can control the visuals with their mobile phones.
