For those of you unfamiliar with Medicine 8 they are a maverick alt Acid House duo who have been doing their own thing from the off. Their debut album, "Iron Stylings" was released on Regal/Parlophone to across the board critical acclaim (album of the month - iDJ/DJ Magazine/Mixmag/Muzik Magazine and many more) and included the singles "Capital Rocka" "Rock Music Pays Off" and "Mystery Murdered" (a highly original Velvet Underground cover which Lou Reed felt bettered the original!). Apart from gaining the support from all the big name DJ's you would expect and also many that you wouldn't, they have a diverse range of celebrity fans ranging from Lou Reed (quote below) to Kylie Minogue and spent years living the dream playing the biggest clubs all around the world. They were regulars in Ibiza and the Miami Winter Music Conference as well as appearing at all the major dance music festivals including Glastonbury, Creamfields, Global Gathering, Homelands, a residency at Pacha Argentina and all this in between numerous sessions on BBC Radio 1 and remixing tracks for artists including Orbital, Manic Street Preachers, Nirvana, Tiga and Kylie (who loved their mix so much she asked for it to be played when she walked down the catwalk at Karl Largerfeld’s show). They are now making their much anticipated and long awaited return with new music on their new label Trashmouth Records.

"This tune is, in the vernacular of the medium, ttz amaze" - Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music, on Bombs! remix

"`I fucking love the mix, sounds so fresh" - Alex Metric, on Bombs! remix

“Medicine8 sent me a new version of a track that only a Velvet Underground aficionado would know existed. They did it so much better than I did and I love it when that happens.” - Lou Reed, The Independent
