Max Normal were just starting to become a really big band on the SA music scene, fusing elements of Hip-Hop and jazz with "electronica" into a spontaneous theatrical performance. then in early 2002 enigmatic front-man Watkin Tudor Jones summarily disbanded it in search of more challenging directions.
Not to be confused with MaxNormal.TV , the mercurial Mr Jones's later incarnation. Or his current incarnation Die Antwoord.
