Biography
Marsha Milan Londoh (born November 6, 1985 in Berrien Springs, Michigan, US) is a Malaysian singer and actress from Tamparuli, Sabah, Malaysia. Marsha gained fame for becoming contestants in a Malaysian reality show contest Akademi Fantasia, Season 3 (2004)in which she finished fourth. After Akademi Fantasia, Marsha ventured into acting fields by acting several minor television and film roles. Marsha landed her first lead role in an online drama series, Kerana Karina, for three season. Since then, Marsha became predominant celebrity in Malaysian entertainment industry. In 2011, Marsha released her debut EP album, Yang Pertama (The First).
Marsha was one of the finalists on Akademi Fantasia, Season 3. Originally, she was not chosen as the final 12 students during the Prelude Concert. However, she managed to enter when the producer opened two spots for the contestants who did not make it in the Prelude Concert to be the thirteenth and fourteenth students in the first week.
She was known for her food restrictions in the academy due to her religion, Seventh-day Adventist Church. At the same time, she was always rumored to have a relationship with some of the students in the academy, notably Mawi. In the finale concert, she was voted fourth.
It has taken five years since her Akademi Fantasia stint to come up with her debut album, but Marsha Milan Londoh tells Dennis Chua it’s well worth the wait. Her debut album was finally launched on Jan 11, aptly titled Yang Pertama (The First). Self-produced and distributed by Alibi Music, which took her under its wings last year, the album features five songs. The self-taught pianist composed two — the poetic "Janji" (Promise) and the playfully feminine "Bila" (When), with lyrics by Hariry Jalil and Eenaz Mokhtar respectively. "Janji" is featured on the soundtrack of TV drama Korban 44, which also starred Marsha and Hariry, while 'Bila" is rearranged by musician Kimberly Chin. The other songs are "Tak Perlu Selamanya" (Doesn't Need Forever), composed by Cham of VE and lyrics by Cydney Chang, her TV series Kita’s theme Bersama Kita (Delynne Hashim), and "Ruang Kedua (feat. Julian Cely)", a duet with French.
