Biography
Marienthal was a heavy metal band from Barentin, Rouen, Normandy, France, formed in 1981. They remained active until 1987 and briefly reunited for a gig in 2016 to promote the reissue of their 1985 album "Prohibition". Band members included Gilles Marc on bass (1981-1987, 2016), Ludwig Leroy on drums (1981-1987, 2016), Patrick Maineult on vocals/guitars (1981-1987, 2016), Gilles "Bébé" Bloquel (1983-1987, 2016), Rémy Legendre on drums (1983), and Denis Blard on guitars (1981-1983). The band released one single in 1983, an album in 1985, and two demos in the same year.
