Mariami is an original recording artist noted for her eclectic mix of contemporary R&B, Soul and Georgian Folk music. Born overseas in Tbilisi, Georgia, the Berklee College of Music trained and NYC based songstress is widely recognized as a versatile R&B arranger and songwriter. Born the granddaughter to the late Shota Illich Bibilouri, Mariami was raised in a musical household. Her earliest years were spent in rehearsal studios with Shota Illich, a music director for the Georgian State Sukshishvili dance ensemble. She obtained a degree in Communication and Cross Cultural Performance Arts in Boston, MA, with a secondary degree in Music from Berklee College of Music. In 2011 she performed for the closing ceremony of the NYC Marathon, in 2012 she was a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition for her original song, "I Cried." A BMI affiliate, her music has been licensed for commercial and TV spots in independent and national campaigns.
