- Joan Rigo (2021 – present)
Marasme is a band that emerged in Mallorca (Balearic Islands) in 2008 and is currently composed of Joan Rigo (vocals), Tomeu Canyelles (guitar), Jordi Carrasco (guitar), Timothy Llompart (bass), and David Àlvarez ‘Dubi’ (drums).
Appearing during the first wave of post-metal in Spain, they blended their sound with influences from sludge, doom, black metal, and other avant-garde genres to create dark, piercing, emotional, and genuinely furious songs.
Their discography, which includes collaborations with independent labels from countries such as Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, and Canada, is built around four studio albums —Mirroir (2010), De llums i ombres (Of Lights and Shadows, 2014), Malsons (Nightmares, 2018), and Fel (Bile, 2025)— along with the live album Malviure (Wretchedness, 2020).
Along this long underground journey, they have shared the stage with a wide range of bands such as Nadja (Canada), Maybeshewill (UK), Master (USA), Yacopsae (Germany), Vialka (France), The Ex (Netherlands), Hexis (Denmark), and The Good The Bad And The Zugly (Norway).
