And at this point, it's silly to compare them. They started out making similar music, but now they've branched out in completely different directions. None of them sing teenybopper bubblegum pop anymore. Britney sings dance music, Mandy sings folk, Jessica sings country, and Christina sings everything from R&B to electronica to rock to jazz and now Latin.
Just for fun: if the princesses of pop went to Hogwarts, what house would they be in?
Christina Aguilera: Gryffindor. she’s a Fighter and because she’s been through some traumatic things, yet she managed to rise about it all.
Mandy Moore: Ravenclaw, she’s very smart
Jessica Simpson: Hufflepuff, because she seems like a sweet and kind person
As for Britney Spears: Hmmm. I’d have to say that the persona that she plays in her performances would be Slytherin. In “Oops” she brags about leading her date on and breaking his heart. In “Womanizer” she dresses up as other women and seduces her husband to test his fidelity. Very sneaky and Slytherin-like.
The real Britney Spears would be a Gryffindor, because of how strong and brave she was to get free.
No, she's American. This is her best-known song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz_NxOF7RB4 It has a special meaning to me because I graduated college the year that it was popular, and many of the lyrics resonated with me and my classmates.
Currently listening to "Fifteen", this album is very astonishing.
I'm glad that Mandy doesn't have to force herself to be applauded, but creates what she loves.
I also fell in love with her latest "Candy" arrangements, which she performed live.
Yeah i think it's great too that she doesn't have to follow the pop mainstream with her music anymore. I guess some people are just lazy and prejudge her new music because of the teen past. I love the new "Candy" arrangement, it's cool the she isn't embarressed by her past music anymore. I recently got a copy of "Amanda Leigh" it's a fantastic record and i would recommend a listen if you haven't heard it. Unfortunately it's not on streaming services but you can listen to it on youtube.
New single When I Wasn’t Watching is amazing. New pics below.
she is embarassed by her three first albuns, so to speak. i mean, on her own words: she was just a little girl with no control at all in a room with a lot of men dressing her like this or that and singing lyrics she didn't see 'em as proper for tweens.
