Biography
Prog-rock for short attention spans, like Raymond Scott or Carl Stalling-esque cartoon music. Lots of tempo changes, very math-rocky, but the shiftiness rarely strays too far from the basic melody. In terms of rock, imagine They Might Be Giants covering Tommy or Devo doing a Beach Boys set.
(Here Come The) Mandible was recorded at Austin's Adult Audio Megaplex and Industrial Oaks studios intermittently between 1999-2006. Grand Champeen's Michael Crow co-produced the fourteen tracks with Mandible's Phillip McEachern and the disc was released by Almost There Records on May 15, 2007. Re-released on Chicken Ranch Records in 2011, with bonus tracks.
