Biography
Maissa is singer songwriter from San Francisco, CA. With the 1995 release of her debut "Not What I Had Planned" on Sonic Records, Maissa gained critical acclaim throughout the U.S. in both Alternative Rock and Pop circles. Not What I Had Planned landed in Album Network magazine’s “The Best New Music” and charted in the top 30 (reaching as high as #4) on the CMJ National charts.
Maissa toured heavily in support of the album opening for General Public, Lisa Loeb, No Doubt, The Cowboy Junkies, Jewel, The Refreshments, The Rentals, Poe, Patty Rothberg and Matthew Sweet. Maissa has also worked on musical projects with Carmine Appice, and Dizzy Reed from “Guns n’ Roses,” who played keyboards on the album.
