Biography

Magic Fish is a terrific band from the east of the Netherlands based around singer/guitarist Rocco Ostermann, whose visceral, original guitar style spreaded a dolphin-smile on the countenance of many a connoisseur. The band existed roughly between 1991 and 2007. There are no activities at the moment. They play one gig at the DRU on 30-03-2013. Ostermann formed Rocco and his Invisible Zoo at the end of 2007.

Since formation, Magic Fish only had one principal: making pure music, as pure as life itself. Even with this quest for elemental purity, these maestros garnered diverse musical styles from rock to psychedelic to funk and naturally meld them with intensity seldom experienced. Their brave sounds carried to startling plateaus of aural pleasure.

With Oscar Wildes words in their minds ('we all lie in the gutter, but some of us look at the stars') these little scale animals elevate to unique specimens within the native country and European waters.

This shoal of magic little fish swam from the Paradiso to Pinkpop and was nominated with the Music Maker Award. Moreover, their first album Absolutely Free was to be in the Oors album top hundred of all time.
