Biography
Bringing together people with machines allows us to create a fusion known as electronic music. The basis for this is record decks, but it doesn't end there. Samplers, effects, synthes, and more - all of this forms a pulsing whole, from which you can hear the sounds of advanced electronic music from the whole world, from slower fairytale-like ballads to aggressive pumping robotics. Or also on-line remixing, live and direct.
Two go against the grain, both in life and music - Abu a Nailer - joined their machines, in order to create a fluid functioning duet, enjoying changes in mood, u-turns in sound, building up of atmosphere and mainly a sound which you will rarely find in the Czech Republic - a mix of electro, breaks, experimental electronics. Among their favourite labels you will find R&S, Warp, Satamile, Disko B, Psi49net, UR, Interdimesional Transmission, NovaMute, Rotters' Golf Club, Seed Records, Plus 8 / M-nus, Detroit Underground, Shitkatapult… And on top of that, even samples of their own work.
Over their four year existance they have managed to get their claws into gigs such as Rokolectiv / Romania, Mission:UK / London, Electrode / Bratislava, Sperm, Unsound, Summer Of Love and many others. On their own parties Sound HeadQuarters, Smash and Stop Look Listen (and Digital Penetration dutiny last years), all based in CrossClub, they try to bring the freshest sound from all over the globe, ranging from dubstep to electrobreaks to glitchhop to whatever-it-is-called-and-they-like. That they have been on the right track was proven when Nailer was picked as the only Czech to attend the Red Bull Music Academy 2005 in Seattle.
