There are two artists named 'M9'
1. M9 (Melanin 9) a Hip Hop artist from London, has a complex flow that is very intricate, but also has a deep gravity and versatility that makes him sound somewhere between Tragedy Khadafi & Terra Firma, combining crafty flows with ill scientific lyrics acknowledging the origin of man.
Influences come from the great Hip Hop sound of the 90's such as Pete Rock, The Roots, Nas, Dead Prez, MF DOOM and A Tribe Called Quest.
2. Martin Kayongo-Mutumba from Rinkeby, Sweden. Despite never releasing an album, he’s acquired huge popularity - especially in the northern suburbs of Stockholm - thanks to his quick tongue and clever lyrics. The most recognizable theme in his lyrics is the tough life in the hood (Rinkeby is a town with a large rate of foreigners, and is often cited as one of the most dangerous places in Sweden), clashes with the police and his football career. Because being a successful rapper is not what he’s mainly known of; M9 is a professional footballer currently playing for Swedish giants AIK in the highest domestic league.
