Biography
Liverpull started performing live in 1999. After having adopted different configurations, in 2002, they came back to the original trio formation. In 1999 they took part in the San Sebastian Pop-Rock Contest, where they reached the semifinals and on January 2002 they took part in the International Pop-Rock Contest of San Adrian Village winning at the Pop category. Apart from the importance of winning a contest in which lots of band from all over Spain and even from abroad �more than 200 in the Pop category- had taken part, it was really outstanding the mark obtained by the demo containing new numbers, presented by the band, that scored ten points out of ten, the maximum possible and the maximum scored in the history of the Contest, that celebrated its 7th edition.. During 2000 they kept on playing in San Sebastian, Irun, Madrid, Logrono, Teruel, Hendaye and went so far as to play in Pamplona and Vitoria as regular basis. In 2003 they started calling themselves Liverpull and in 2004 they have released their first CD, called Liverpull (Spiff Records, 2004), which includes eleven songs written by Inaki, seven of them written in Spanish and four in English, the ones that you can listen to at www.garageband.com. As Guest Stars, Jaime Urrutia, the former member of an Spanish important band of the �80�s called Gabinete Caligari, Juan Jose Ocon, conductor of the Young Symphonic Orchestra of the Basque Country, musicians from the Young Orchestra of the Basque Country, Professors from the Conservatory of San Sebastian and the School of Music of San Sebastian have taken part in the recording of the CD. Produced by Inaki and Mikel Sayar, the CD has been recorded, mixed and mastered by Mikel Sayar at Spiff Corps. Studios, owned by Liverpull and has been released in Vinyl CD format, completely compatible with standard CD players, which emulates the old vinyl LPs, EPs and Singles used until the CD arrived. Besides, the CD includes a multimedia player which allows the access to the Bonus Zone at the www.liverpull.com web site, reserved for the owners of original Liverpull CDs. There you can enjoy videos of the recording sessions, unreleased versions of the songs and more material about the band that will be added and updated periodically. The multimedia player offers as well the history of the songs, lyrics, pictures, etc. Music and technology together in one CD. For live performances, Tony Sanz, a drummer from Zaragoza (Spain) has joined Liverpull recently. They will play all over Spain from October 2004 on, on the Liverpull Winter Tour 2004. Their influences put together bands like The Beatles, The Byrds, R.E.M., Queen, Oasis and The Eagles, with outstanding vocal harmonies, unknown in the bands of the �90�s and 2000�s, amazing orchestral arrangements, and incredible quality of compositions and sound, comparable to the multinational American and British Mega-Productions and to bands like Dream Theater or artists like Paul McCartney and Elton John, with influences from Producers like George Martin or Charles Dye.
